Campet Sainte Marie farms in Limoux, the cool, hilly corner of Languedoc tucked into the Pyrenees foothills, a spot known for France's best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir outside Burgundy. The vines here are called 'campets,' hillside plots around 30 years old, farmed sustainably on limestone and clay. This Chardonnay is built in a Burgundian mold: barrel-touched and textured, priced like Languedoc. Good for the table that wants real Chablis character without the real Chablis bill. Vintage on our shelf may read 2022 or 2023; the house style holds steady across both.

Bosc pear, brioche and baked apple on the nose, with vanilla spice and a citrus lift. Fleshy palate of apple and pear, toasted acidity keeps it from going soft, finishing clean with a fruity, mineral edge.
