What Ashburn is actually drinking

Our story

Twenty years of pouring what we'd drink ourselves

Sean Malone built this shop into the kind of place people came to see him as much as the wine. When he couldn't run it anymore, two of his regulars — Brittany and Alan Alexander — bought it to keep his legacy pouring. Same shelves, same spirit, more than five hundred bottles chosen the slow way.

Twenty years · five hundred bottles · thirty seats

Small plates. Big opinions.

Flatbreads, cheese and charcuterie, dessert, wine by the glass and weekly-rotating flights — dinner Wednesday through Saturday, 4–9 pm. Thirty seats, so a reservation is a good idea.

Tastings & events

There's usually a bottle open

In-house wine tastings, classes, and private parties run all year. The live calendar lands here — pulled straight from the shop's schedule, so it's never out of date.

Order online, pick up in-store

Browse from your couch. Pick up at the counter.

The online shelf reads live from the same register as the store — what you see is what's in stock. Pickup only; bring a valid ID showing 21+.

The wine club

Your name on a bottle, every month

Hand-picked by our in-house wine expert, held at the counter with your name on it — plus up to 15% off every wine under $100, every day, and members-only tastings. Three clubs. Pick your pour.

Don't take our word for it

The neighbors talk

Read current reviews on the platforms people actually use — or see what's pouring tonight on Instagram.

When two longtime regulars stepped up to keep this shop open in 2024, WTOP, the Ashburn Patch, and the Loudoun Times-Mirror all came to tell the story. Read it on our story page.
