The cat-label Vinho Verde from Borges, in pink. Soft, semi-dry, slightly fizzy and 10.5% alcohol — a wine that asks nothing of you except a cold glass and a warm evening. It stays one of Portugal's most recognizable bottles for a simple reason: it does its one job perfectly. Pizza night, deck season, aperitif hour. Nobody has ever been sad holding a glass of this.

A slight prickle of gas, candied apple and strawberry on the nose, then a delicate, soft and fresh palate.

Pizza, grilled chicken, aperitif hour on a hot deck. Serve it properly cold, 8 to 10 degrees Celsius.
