Broccardo Langhe - Rosato - 2024
$34.00
Broccardo is a Barolo specialist based in Monforte d'Alba, and this rosato is the lighter side of the estate's Nebbiolo work: a blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera off south-facing vines averaging 25 years old, grown on sandy, silty clay at 350 meters. Grapes come in by hand in mid-September, get a soft press, and ferment cool in stainless steel before a short rest in bottle. Coming in at 12.5% ABV, it's built as an aperitif wine, not a cellar wine.
Claret pink with orange hues. Peach skin and floral aromas lead into a fresh, harmonious palate with a slightly saline finish. Medium body, soft fruit, juicy acidity.
Serve chilled with cold cuts, fresh cheese, or grilled fish, the estate's own aperitivo pairing.
Agricola Fratelli Broccardo farms in Monforte d'Alba, best known for Barolo. The Diecigradi rosato comes off Nebbiolo and Barbera vines averaging 25 years old on south-facing sandy, silty clay at 350 meters, hand-harvested and soft-pressed for a delicate rosato style.
