Château Grand Jean is a 100-hectare Entre-Deux-Mers estate the Dulon family has farmed for roughly 250 years across ten generations, now led by Michel Dulon. The Bordeaux Blanc blends Sémillon with Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris, with Sémillon running as high as 70% in recent vintages, for a rounder, riper style than a typical grassy Sauvignon-driven white. Good with roast chicken, mild cheese, or on its own on a warm evening.
Honeyed pear and pink grapefruit aromas from the Sémillon-heavy blend. Rich and creamy on the palate, with ripe apple purée flavors carrying through a long, full-bodied finish.
Classic matches for Sauvignon Blanc: Goat cheese, oysters, green salads, anything with fresh herbs.
