A crisp, everyday white from Entre-Deux-Mers, the stretch of Bordeaux tucked between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers that's built its name on exactly this kind of wine. Joël Duffau took over this parcel of family vineyard when his parents retired after decades of estate bottling, and has farmed it organically since 2010. The blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris, grown on clay and limestone slopes, gives you citrus and orchard fruit with real cut. Pour it with oysters and call it a night.
Citrus, peach, pineapple and a touch of bergamot on the nose. Balanced between fruity roundness and bright acidity, with a light herbal edge and a pleasant bitter twist on the finish. Drink young.
Oysters, fresh shellfish, or a simple goat cheese salad.
Joël Duffau took over this parcel of family vineyard in Entre-Deux-Mers when his parents retired, continuing a bottling tradition that started in 1970. The estate began converting its 45 hectares to organic farming in 2010; vines sit on boulbène, clay and limestone slopes around Naujan-et-Postiac.
