Chris Hamilton Sauvignon Blanc 2023 750ml

Chris Hamilton Cellars is a tiny Napa label, and the 2023 Sauvignon Blanc totals just 166 cases from Yountville and Oak Knoll fruit. Fermented in stainless steel, then aged sur lie for seven months, 60% in steel and 40% in neutral French oak, with lees stirring every two weeks. That regimen gives a wine of real texture without losing the wet-stone freshness. Small-lot Napa craft you will not see in grocery stores.

White peach, lime blossom, green papaya, Bosc pear. Expansive palate of white grapefruit, Meyer lemon, wet stone, ripe pear. Lively, energetic finish.

Classic matches for Sauvignon Blanc: Goat cheese, oysters, green salads, anything with fresh herbs.
