Ma Douce is Morlet Family Vineyards' Chardonnay from Fort Ross-Seaview, the high Sonoma Coast ridge where vines ripen slowly above the fog on Goldridge soils. Luc and Jodie Morlet pick the fruit by hand at night, ferment with native yeast, age the wine on its lees in French oak and bottle without fining or filtration. The 2022 is tense, chalky and vibrant. White Burgundy discipline, Sonoma Coast fruit. Bring it to the dinner party where the host actually cares.

Lemon tart, lime cordial and orange blossom with baker's yeast, shaved almond and chalk dust. Medium to full body with real tension and zesty vibrancy in a silky texture. Lingering chalky finish.
