Tenuta Principe Alberico farms inside Rome's Appia Antica park, on the former Fiorano estate along the ancient Appian Way. The 2021 Rosso blends Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, anchored by a historic vineyard treated organically for over half a century, fermented in concrete with natural yeasts and minimal sulfur, then aged six to eight months in oak. Volcanic Roman soil gives it a savory mineral streak. History you can drink, minutes from the Colosseum.
Ruby red. Ripe red berries, blackberry and blueberry jam, cherry chocolate, cinnamon, and warm spice. Soft, round, and full bodied with a savory backbone and deep mineral vein.

The heart of production is a historic vineyard of four rows of Cabernet and four of Merlot, farmed organically for more than 50 years in the Appia Antica park. Ferments run in truncated-cone cement tanks with selected natural yeasts and minimal sulfites.
