Cult-Cab hands on cool-coast Pinot. Aston is a single-vineyard Sonoma Coast estate whose wine is made by Thomas Rivers Brown, the winemaker behind some of Napa's most sought-after Cabernets. The 2020 shows the dark, structured side of Pinot Noir: nearly opaque purple, exotic aromatics, mouthwatering freshness, from a vintage the estate calls strong and well-rounded. Serious, savory California Pinot for the Burgundy skeptic. Decant it an hour and take your time.

Bay leaf, macerated bramble fruit, blood orange and cedar aromas. Fresh earth, cherry reduction, crushed rock and primrose on a palate defined by freshness front to back.
