Broadside is Brian and Stephanie Terrizzi's Paso Robles label, running since Brian's first vintage off Margarita Vineyard in 2006. Blackletter is the step-up Cabernet, drawn from hand-selected blocks at Santa Margarita Ranch and in the Willow Creek District. The 2022 is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon with 11% Cabernet Franc, aged in a mix of new and neutral French oak, and it lands at a sane 13.9% alcohol. Structured Paso Cab from people who actually farm.
Blackberry, blueberry, and roasted plum with savory black olive, dark chocolate, and molasses underneath. Full bodied, velvety tannins, long spicy finish.

The Terrizzis also run Giornata, Paso's benchmark for Italian varieties, and were named the region's 2025 Wine Industry Persons of the Year. Brian works minimalist: native ferments and restrained oak.
