Cazas Novas Avesso comes from Portugal's Vinho Verde region, made entirely from Avesso, the grape behind the richer, more structured whites of the appellation rather than the light, spritzy style Vinho Verde is best known for. It's cold-fermented in stainless steel and aged four months on the lees with batonnage, giving it more weight and texture than a typical Vinho Verde blend. A solid $17 pick for anyone who thinks they don't like Vinho Verde.

Floral aromas of peach, orange blossom and pear alongside green apple and honey; rich, vibrant palate of lemon curd and key lime, fine acidity and a long, elegant finish.

Made from 100% Avesso grapes grown on granite soils. Cold-fermented in stainless steel over 18 days, then aged four months on the lees with batonnage before bottling.
