Domaine Faiveley Bourgogne Pinot Noir AOC 2021

Real domaine Burgundy at friendly money. Faiveley builds this Bourgogne Rouge from estate-grown Pinot Noir plus fruit from trusted organic growers, then ages it 12 to 14 months in French oak barrels and stainless steel. The cool 2021 vintage keeps it taut and elegant, all fresh red fruit and fine round tannin at 13 percent alcohol. This is the bottle for coq au vin night, or for anyone learning what Burgundy actually tastes like.

Ruby color. Fresh cherry and strawberry aromas carry onto a ripe, rounded palate. Fine chalky tannins, vibrant acidity, elegant balance and good length.

Coq au vin, roast chicken with pan drippings, a mushroom galette.
