100% Tempranillo from vines over 20 years old, grown on clay-limestone soils in Rioja. Fermentation runs in tank with native yeast after a brief cold soak, then six months in used French barriques with minimal sulfur added, under 35 parts per million. James Suckling gave it 91 points. It drinks like Rioja stripped of its usual oak-and-vanilla gloss: real fruit, real structure, honest winemaking.

Toast, smoke and baking spice on the nose, with soft cherry and plum, mandarin peel, dried flowers and herbs. Medium body, well-knit, framed by lightly chewy tannins.
