Jax is the Jackson family's estate winery on Highway 128 in Calistoga, and Y3 is its everyday label, named for the cattle brand on the family's Australian ranch. The 2022 Y3 Pinot Noir pulls fruit from the Russian River Valley and drinks exactly as intended: plush, Burgundian in shape, ripe cherry and plum with a kiss of oak. This is our number one seller, full stop. Regulars keep it moving, so we keep it stacked.
Plum, fig and overripe cherry coat the tongue, framed by a touch of oak. Silky texture, gentle tannin, balanced easygoing finish.
