Kunde Family Winery has farmed the same Sonoma Valley ground since 1904, when Louis Kunde bought the Wildwood ranch and its iron-red volcanic soil. Five generations later the family still runs it, spread across two AVAs and nearly 1,850 sustainably farmed acres. This Chardonnay skips the heavy oak route: orange blossom and peach up front, then ripe pear and apple with a whisper of vanilla and cinnamon. It's a rich style built for people who want texture without a lumber yard in the glass.

Orange blossom, melon and peach on the nose. Ripe pear, apple, vanilla and cinnamon on the palate. Soft acidity, rich and viscous texture, smooth long finish.

Classic matches for Chardonnay: Roast chicken, lobster or crab with butter, corn dishes, soft creamy cheeses.

Louis Kunde bought the Wildwood ranch in 1904; vines there were first planted in 1879 with cuttings from Château Margaux and Château Lafite Rothschild. The Kunde family, now five generations in, farms nearly 1,850 acres across two Sonoma Valley AVAs with a 1,000-foot elevation range and seven microclimates.
