Louis M. Martini has been a Napa Cabernet house since 1933, and this Winemaker's Selection bottling of the 2019 Napa Valley Cabernet lands in a great vintage. Wine Enthusiast rated it 94 points. Full-bodied and generous, cassis and dark cherry framed by well-integrated oak, with a gravelly earthiness underneath. Drinks well now and holds through 2033. Classic Napa Cabernet at the traditional end of the style. A safe bet for the steakhouse Cab drinker.
Black plum, cassis and dark cherry with black licorice, fennel and a gravelly earthy streak. Full-bodied, soft entry, well-integrated oak, hint of torn mint on the long finish.
