MadFish is the playful little sibling to Howard Park, founded in 1992 by Margaret River winemaker Jeff Burch and named for MadFish Bay, where opposing tides send schools of fish leaping out of the water. This Western Australian Chardonnay is built around fruit rather than oak, a lighter, more aromatic style meant to drink young. Grab it for a weeknight dinner or anytime you want Chardonnay without the buttery weight.

Pale straw with a green hue. White nectarine, Meyer lemon and peach blossom on the nose, with melon and tropical fruit. Fresh palate of ripe pear, yellow apple and a touch of quince, with a zesty citrus finish.

Classic matches for Chardonnay: Roast chicken, lobster or crab with butter, corn dishes, soft creamy cheeses.

MadFish is part of Burch Family Wines, the Western Australia family business behind Howard Park. Jeff Burch founded MadFish in 1992 as a fruit-driven, easier-drinking counterpart to Howard Park's more serious bottlings, sourcing across Margaret River and the Great Southern.
