Nómade is Tomás Achával's Mendoza label, built on a simple idea: plant each grape where it grows best, then follow it there. This Colección Cabernet Franc comes from a 15-year-old vineyard at 4,059 feet in the Andean foothills of the Uco Valley. It is 100% Cabernet Franc aged 18 months in new and second-use French oak. Ripe black fruit, cassis and spice with the fine-boned structure only altitude gives. Argentina's most exciting grape, done straight.
Ripe black fruit, cassis, fine jam and sweet spice on the nose. Long and elegant on the palate, balanced acidity, polished tannins, persistent finish.
