Nomade Pinot Noir 2021 750ml

$29.00

Tomas Achaval spent years running Moet & Chandon's Argentine operation and helped launch Terrazas de los Andes before striking out on his own with Nomade in 2005, a label built on wines with a sense of place. The Pinot Noir comes from a 65-year-old vineyard in the Rio Negro Valley, deep in Patagonia and about as far south as serious wine gets made in South America. Cool climate, old vines, a wine that argues Argentina isn't just Malbec country.

Ruby red with brick highlights. Red fruit, spice and floral notes on the nose carry through to an elegant, medium-weight palate with fine tannins and a fresh finish.

Classic matches for Pinot Noir: Salmon, roast duck, mushroom risotto, a charcuterie board that means business.

Sourced from a single 65-year-old vineyard in the Rio Negro Valley, Patagonia, one of the oldest Pinot Noir plantings in the region and the southernmost part of Nomade's portfolio, which otherwise draws mostly from Mendoza's Uco Valley.
