Real Oakville estate Cabernet from one of Napa's oldest cellars. The winery started in 1877 as Brun & Chaix and holds California bonded winery license number nine, the only single-digit bond still operating. The Pelissa family bought it in 1993 and farms the vineyard right behind the building, certified organic, in the heart of the Oakville AVA. Winemaker Lynn Watanabe keeps the style classic. Serious address, honest bottle, built for steak night.

Deep cherry red. Intense red fruit and spice aromas, dark cherry and cassis on the palate. Full bodied, with firm structure and a polished finish.

Classic matches for Cabernet Sauvignon: Ribeye off the grill, lamb chops, aged cheddar, a rainy night and a good movie.

Oakville Winery is the historic home of Napa Wine Company, owned by the Pelissa/Hoxsey family, Napa farmers for over 120 years with 650 acres of certified organically farmed vines. Fruit comes primarily from the Pelissa Vineyard directly behind the winery in the Oakville AVA.
