OVID's Experiment bottlings are the estate's sandbox, and N6.1, sixth in the series, adds fruit bought from a neighboring vineyard for a fresh angle on the house style. The 2021 runs 72 percent Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from a long, cool, outstanding growing season. Cult-Napa winemaking in tiny quantities at a fraction of the estate wine's price, which is the whole appeal.

Fresh plum, black cherry and crushed blackberry with dark chocolate, red tobacco and wet stone. Round and polished across the palate, with the structure to age gracefully.
