Silver Oak's Alexander Valley Cabernet is defined by its barrel program: about two years in American oak from the Duncan family's own cooperage in Higbee, Missouri, half new and half once-used. That is where the signature vanilla and baking-spice warmth comes from. The blend runs nearly all Cabernet with small doses of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Ask us which vintage is on the shelf. Nobody is ever disappointed when this bottle shows up.

Red cherry, raspberry and blackberry wrapped in vanilla, iris and clove. Supple, generous palate with soft, round tannins and that unmistakable sweet American-oak finish. Drinks well on release and ages gracefully.
