Squealing Pig Sauvignon Blanc 2025

The name is literal. Pigs lived on the grounds of the old homestead overlooking the original vineyard, and the brand took its first release from there in 2010. Fruit comes from the Awatere Valley, the cooler corner of Marlborough, which is why this leans fresh herb and lime rather than pure tropical fruit. One hundred percent Sauvignon Blanc, bright and zesty, made to open on a Tuesday. Drink it young. Passionfruit, lemon pith and pineapple with basil and cut grass behind. Crisp citrus on the palate, lime and just-squeezed grapefruit, a squeeze of white peach, and a long focused finish with fine minerality.
