Edgar Torres came from Mexico as a kid in a VW bus, grew up in Cambria, and spent his savings on four oak barrels to make his first wine in 2007. He is regarded as Paso Robles' first Mexican American vintner, and Bodega de Edgar is his label. Straight Out of Paso is the swagger bottling: Syrah, Grenache, Zinfandel and Mourvedre, the grapes that put Paso on the map, built approachable. Ours is the 2020. Turn it up.
Blackberry, plum and black cherry with strawberry jam brightness. Cinnamon, black pepper, anise and vanilla, a bold mouthfeel, cocoa spice and forest floor on the finish.
