Ten Rows is Kristina Abiouness's small-lot Carneros Pinot Noir, named for the ten rows of old-vine Pinot at Stanly Ranch she first bought fruit from around 2000. It began life as a restaurant by-the-glass pour, which tells you the style: lighter on its feet, fresh, blended from her most delicate barrels, made for drinking rather than for speeches. The bamboo on the label changes every year. The wine underneath stays the point. Weeknight Pinot with an actual pedigree.

Pomegranate and wild berry fruit with baking spice and a whiff of black tea. Light-to-medium body, silky fine tannins, bright acidity, clean red-fruited finish.
