Ultraviolet is Samantha Sheehan's second label. She makes the acclaimed POE wines in Napa, and Ultraviolet is her answer to overworked cheap Cabernet: fresh picking, pure fruit, fair price. The 2022 is a California-appellation Cabernet Sauvignon with bright fruit, silky tannins and genuine restraint, reviewed by Wine Enthusiast. A great weeknight Cab, and the label looks sharp on the table.

Violets, blackberry, blueberry and black peppercorn on the nose. Black cherry, dark chocolate and baking spice on the palate, soft round tannins, balanced acidity, and a smooth, lingering finish.
