CRU is Vineyard 29's Napa Valley Cabernet, the bottling where the estate spreads its winemaking across the whole valley. The 2022 blends 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from fourteen vineyards: mountain and valley-floor Cabernet, benchland Cabernet Franc, valley-floor Merlot and Petit Verdot. Fine-grain, thin-stave French oak rounds it out. Juicy on entry, structured underneath. The Napa Cab that shows up for company without demanding a cellar first.

Brambly blackberry, ripe blueberry and violet with mocha and roasted coffee bean from French oak. Juicy entry, rich and round through the middle, with firm tannin and bright acid structure.
