Zaha is the project of Alejandro Sejanovich and Jeff Mausbach, the duo behind TeHo, working the Toko Vineyard in Paraje Altamira at the high southern end of Mendoza's Uco Valley. El Corte 2019 co-ferments 78 percent Malbec with 22 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, picked in stages through April and vinified in small lots so the two varieties knit together from day one. High-altitude Malbec with stone and lift instead of jam. Steak night just got promoted.

Blackberry and cranberry with subtle eucalyptus. Mineral texture, herbal edges, vibrant acidity. Long finish with a cool hint of mint.

Grilled skirt steak with chimichurri, lamb empanadas, portobellos straight off the grill.

Toko Vineyard sits in Paraje Altamira, San Carlos department, in the Uco Valley. Harvest runs in stages through April, with three distinct lots from different soil types and pick dates co-fermented in microvinifications so Malbec and Cabernet integrate during fermentation, not after.
