Laurent-Perrier - La Cuvée - NV

Laurent-Perrier stakes its house style on Chardonnay, and La Cuvée shows it. The blend runs better than half Chardonnay with Pinot Noir and a little Meunier, drawn from around 100 different wines with 15 to 30 percent reserves, then rested four years on the lees. Recent disgorgements carry a moderate eight to nine grams of dosage. Fresh, citrusy and precise, this is the aperitif Champagne of the shop. Stock two bottles. One always disappears.

Pale gold with a fine bead. Citrus, white flowers and fresh stone fruit. Crisp, delicate and precise, with clean acidity and a dry finish.
