Three little bottles, one good idea. Brilla is Prosecco DOC from the Veneto, 100 percent Glera, extra dry, made by the Charmat method in steel and bottled at 11 percent. Decanter gave it 92 points. The mini format means you pour one without opening a full bottle, which is the entire point on a Tuesday night or in a picnic bag. The faceted bottles look like cut glass, too.

Pale straw with a fine bead. Peach and green apple with acacia and lilac behind. Fresh and light on the palate, balanced acidity, off-dry in the extra dry style, with a long persistent finish.

Sushi, oysters, prosciutto and salty snacks. It is an aperitif wine first.

Brilla comes from Casa Vinicola Botter in the Veneto. Must is soft-pressed and cold-settled in steel, fermented with selected yeasts at 18C over eight to ten days, then blended and taken through a second fermentation in tank at 14 to 15C.
