Westhoff Pioneers Sonoma County Red Blend - 2023

Westhoff Pioneers is fifth-generation winemaker Joe Wagner's tribute to his family's 19th-century roots in Westhoffen, France, launched in 2026 under his Copper Cane label. The USA bottling honors the American leg of that story: Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah from Sonoma County, where old vines, warm days and cool nights build a plush, spice-driven red. Wagner learned winemaking from his father, co-founder of Caymus Vineyards, and has built Copper Cane into one of California's fastest-growing producer groups since 2014. This is a rich, generous everyday red with a real pedigree behind the label. Dried cranberry, boysenberry, baking spice and cherry on the nose, with cassis and wild raspberry underneath. Plush, full-bodied palate with spice and richness through the finish.
