Bassano is an approachable Italian sparkler from the Sperone family, who have been making affordable wine for four generations, starting with Antonio Sperone's Turin wine shop in 1911. It's a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Trebbiano rather than a single-grape Prosecco, which gives it a bit more textural range. This is a party wine, built for toasting and casual sipping rather than serious contemplation, and it's priced to be poured freely.

Bright floral aromas with fresh, soft fruit flavors and delicate, persistent bubbles. Dry and modern in style rather than sweet.

Pairs well with fresh cheeses, fruit-forward dishes and salads, good as an aperitif or brunch pour.

Bassano is produced by the Sperone family, whose winemaking history traces to Antonio Sperone's 1911 wine shop in Turin and a bottling facility later built in Puglia; his grandson Giacomo Sperone opened a new production facility near Milan in 1965.
