Highlands 41 Black Granite Red Blend 2023, 750ml

Highlands 41 is Riboli Family Wines' Paso Robles label, named for Highway 41, the road that carried the Central Coast wine trade before Paso had its own reputation. The Ribolis have farmed California since 1917. Black Granite is built on Zinfandel and Petite Sirah from estate vineyards on limestone-rich soil, aged around ten months in oak. Wine Enthusiast named the 2020 vintage of this blend its top Best Buy at 91 points. A big, generous red for burgers, ribs and anything off the grill. Deep ruby color. Aromas of blackberry, plum and mocha, with riper notes of boysenberry and violet. Ripe plum, raspberry and cocoa on a velvety, round palate with soft, easy tannins.
