Paul Buisse - Cremant - Rose
$26.99
Paul Buisse ages wine in troglodyte caves carved into Loire limestone, bought in 1955 and still holding a steady 54 degrees year round. The estate itself dates to 1989, when fourth-generation Paul Buisse bought Touraine vineyards and put his name on the label; the Chainier family, wine traders since 1749, has owned it since his 2010 retirement. This Crémant Rosé blends Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Pineau d'Aunis, traditional method, real bubbles at a fraction of Champagne money. Strawberry and raspberry fruit, creamy mousse, an easy toast wine.
Crisp strawberry and raspberry fruit, floral lift, creamy mousse and fine persistent bubbles. Traditional method texture, dry finish, bright acidity.
Classic matches for a sparkling like this: Oysters, fried foods, salty snacks — bubbles cut through everything.
Family wine trade dating back generations; John Buisse bought the Caves de la Boule Blanche in 1955, tuffeau limestone caves still used for aging at 54 degrees year round. Fourth-generation Paul Buisse founded the estate in 1989; the Chainier family has owned it since 2010.
