Pike Road Wines Pinot Noir Rose 2025
$21.00
When Elk Cove went all-estate in 2015, the Campbells still had decades of contracts with neighboring growers. Rather than walk away, they built Pike Road as a home for that fruit. Adam Campbell makes the rose from 100 percent Willamette Valley Pinot Noir: saignee juice run off hand-picked grapes, fermented dry in stainless, sealed under screwcap. Color comes from a small addition of Pinot Noir, so it looks the same every year. Case-buy pink.
Pale pink, ripe plum and soft florals. Pink grapefruit, mandarin and sweet strawberry on the palate with a hint of madeleine. White tea tannin, bright acid, clean mineral finish.
Classic matches for a rosé like this: Charcuterie, grilled shrimp, salads, and warm evenings generally.
Pike Road buys from more than 20 farms across six northern Willamette sub-AVAs: Chehalem Mountains, Dundee Hills, Eola-Amity Hills, Laurelwood, Tualatin Hills and Yamhill-Carlton. The Campbells are fifth-generation farmers and founded sister winery Elk Cove in 1974.
