Terre di Chieti - Bordinese Rosato

This comes from Cantina Madonna dei Miracoli, the growers' cooperative in Casalbordino, on the Adriatic side of Chieti province in Abruzzo. Bordinese is their everyday line. The rosato is Montepulciano and Sangiovese bottled as Terre di Chieti IGP, pale as onion skin, made for drinking cold and young. Medium-bodied, fresh, and completely without pretension. Pour it cold and stop overthinking rose.

Pale onion-skin pink. Intense fruity nose, uncomplicated and inviting. Fresh and harmonious on the palate, medium-bodied, with good persistence on the finish.

Charcuterie, pizza, fried fish and fish soup, white meat, tomato pasta. Serve it at eight to ten degrees Celsius.

Cantina Madonna dei Miracoli is a growers' cooperative in Casalbordino, in the hills of Chieti province, where fertile well-drained slopes run down toward the Adriatic. It puts out around six million bottles a year under the CasalBordino name, from Montepulciano and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo through to international varieties.
