MadFish comes from Burch Family Wines, the operation Jeff and Amy Burch built out of a run-down sheep farm near Denmark on Western Australia's south coast, 15 kilometers from MadFish Bay. This Cabernet Merlot blends fruit from both Margaret River and the Great Southern, the state's two best regions, a dual-region approach that's rare and gives the wine more range than most bottles at this price. Savory cedar spice, mint and dusty cocoa over red fruit. An honest, well-made blend that overdelivers.

Cedar spice, mint, dusty cocoa and dried sage over ripe raspberry. Chocolate and baking spice on the palate, black and blue berries, plum compote, coffee and cocoa. Supple tannins, long finish.

Burch Family Wines sources MadFish from both Margaret River and the Great Southern, Western Australia's two premier regions, blending across them rather than sticking to one. The label takes its name from MadFish Bay near the Burch family's original property outside Denmark.
