Bodegas Alejandro has farmed and made wine in Alicante, on Spain's Mediterranean coast, since 1982, working the vineyards as a family across three generations. This Monastrell is a single-varietal bottling made in small quantities to keep tight control over harvest and maturation, aged fifteen months in oak. It's a powerful, structured style of Monastrell built for people who want a Spanish red with some muscle, not a light sipper. Good with grilled lamb or anything off live fire.

Intense ruby color. Rich, ripe blackberry and cherry fruit with roasted spice and toasted barrel notes; medium-bodied, fine-grained ripe tannins and a medium-long finish. 15% ABV.

Best with grilled or charred meats like lamb; the ripe tannin and oak want something fatty to match.

Bodegas Alejandro has practiced traditional viticulture in Alicante since 1982, farming with an intimate knowledge of the region's climate and geology passed down across three generations. Production runs small and controlled, from harvest through maturation, to keep quality consistent.
