Argiano is a historic Brunello di Montalcino estate, and Non Confunditur, Latin for 'not to be confused,' is its everyday red. The 2023 blends 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 20% Sangiovese under Toscana IGT. James Suckling scored it 92, Falstaff 91. This is the smart way to put a serious Montalcino cellar on a Tuesday table: Super Tuscan blend, weeknight price, and enough polish to serve when the in-laws visit.

Deep dark ruby. Cherry, blackcurrant, violet and chocolate aromas with tea leaf, fig and tobacco underneath. Medium to full body, firm tannins that melt easily, fresh clean finish.

Homemade pasta with meat ragu, mushroom sauces, anything with truffle shaved over it.
