Barone Ricasoli traces its wines to 1141, making the Ricasoli family the oldest winery in Italy still run by the same family, based at Castello di Brolio in Chianti Classico. This entry-level Toscana Rosso IGT blends 60% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon — Sangiovese's structure filled out with softer international grapes. It's built as an easy, affordable everyday red, not a serious ager: pour it for pizza night or pasta with red sauce and don't overthink it.

Ruby red with delicate aromas of red berries and small red fruit. Soft on the palate with nice acidity, gentle tannins and a well-balanced, pleasant finish. Light-to-medium body, easy drinking.
