Beringer - Quantum Red Blend - 2016 - 1.5L

Quantum is Beringer's ultra-selective blend, built from seven of the winery's best Napa vineyards, Bancroft, Steinhauer, Chabot, Vogt, Marston, Gamble and Home, each kept separate in the cellar until the final blend comes together. The 2016 leans on Cabernet Sauvignon at 82% with Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec rounding it out. This magnum is a big, generous crowd-pleaser for a large table, not a wine that needs decades in the cellar.

Dark cherry, espresso, tobacco and leather on the nose, with ripe plum, vanilla and boysenberry jam accented by brown spice. Rich and fleshy, silken tannins, lush rounded finish.

Quantum draws from seven distinct Beringer-owned vineyards across Napa Valley, each fermented and aged separately before blending, the name nods to the idea that the finished wine is greater than the sum of its individual vineyard lots.
