Bootleg launched its debut wine with this bottling: a 2023 Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon made by winemaker Ben Salazar, who brings two decades of cellar experience from California and New Zealand. It's a big, ready-to-drink Cabernet built for people who want fruit up front and structure underneath. Black cherry, cassis and baked spice lead, backed by firm tannins and real richness. Good for steak night or gifting when you want something with a story behind a brand-new label.
Black cherry, cassis, plum, cedar, mocha and baking spice on the nose. Full-bodied palate of blackberry, dark chocolate and espresso, graphite and vanilla underneath. Firm, polished tannins, long finish of spice and toasted oak.
Classic matches for Cabernet Sauvignon: Ribeye off the grill, lamb chops, aged cheddar, a rainy night and a good movie.
Bootleg is a new label; this 2023 Cabernet is its first release. Winemaker Ben Salazar, who has more than 20 years of experience in California and New Zealand cellars, made the wine from Paso Robles fruit.
