Coppo has been making wine in Canelli, Piemonte since 1892, one of the oldest family-run wineries in Italy, with UNESCO-listed underground cellars carved beneath the town. L'Avvocata is their everyday Barbera d'Asti, grown on the same hills that gave Coppo's prestige bottling Pomorosso its reputation. Round, food-friendly, and built for the table rather than the cellar. This is what Piemontese families actually drink with Sunday dinner.

Ripe cherry and strawberry with floral lift. Round and full-bodied, fresh and juicy, with a spicy finish of cola and ripe berries.

Piero Coppo founded the winery in 1892 and passed it to his son Luigi, who expanded into other varietals. After Luigi died in 1984, his sons focused the winery on Barbera and released the prestige Pomorosso bottling. The historic cellars beneath Canelli, expanded since the 1800s, were named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014.
