Emotions de la Tour - Blanche Sauternes - 2021

Château La Tour Blanche is a Premier Cru Classé from the 1855 Sauternes classification, owned by the French state and home to a working school of viticulture. Émotions is its second wine: mostly Sémillon with Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle, hand-picked late and selected for botrytis, then raised 18 months entirely in stainless steel to keep the fruit bright. First-growth Sauternes pedigree in a fresher, earlier-drinking style for a fraction of the grand vin. Dessert wine that still earns a seat at dinner.

Honeyed apricot, candied citrus and dried fruit with the spice of noble rot. Sweet, concentrated and unctuous, with fresh acidity keeping it light on its feet.

Foie gras, Roquefort or Époisses, tarte Tatin, desserts with caramel, nuts or tropical fruit.

The estate sits atop a gravel ridge over clay and limestone in Bommes, in the heart of the Sauternes appellation, with vines documented back to the 17th century. Imported by Winebow.
