Iconoclast - Cabernet Sauvignon - 2021

Iconoclast is a Terlato Wine Group project built around two winemakers who don't usually work together: Elizabeth Vianna, the Stags Leap District specialist behind Chimney Rock, and Bryan Parker, who works Sonoma's Russian River fruit. Together they blend 86% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec from top Napa and Sonoma vineyards, fermented by lot and aged 15 months in mostly used French oak. Blackberry, cassis, tobacco. A serious Napa Cabernet that doesn't need a decade to prove it. Blackberry, cassis and tobacco on the nose, with alder in the background. Bold dark fruit, chocolate and baking spice on the palate. Structured tannins, a long velvety finish, vanilla and cedar from the oak.
