Isosceles is JUSTIN's flagship, the Bordeaux blend that put Paso Robles on the map when Justin Baldwin first released it in 1987 as JUSTIN Reserve. The 2018 comes off limestone hillsides on the estate's Founder's Vineyard, planted back in 1981 just eight miles from the Pacific. This bottling runs roughly 83% Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc and Merlot filling out the blend, aged about 21 months in new French oak. The magnum format is built for a real dinner party or a decade in the cellar.

Deep ruby-purple with a black core. Black cherry, cassis, vanilla, cinnamon and licorice up front, sweet tobacco, cedar, leather and camphor underneath. Full-bodied with fine, mouth-filling tannins and a long finish that keeps circling back to cedar and spice.

Justin Baldwin planted the estate's Founder's Vineyard in 1981 on limestone-rich hillside soils, and the first Isosceles-style blend went out under the name JUSTIN Reserve in 1987. The wine draws from four estate vineyards across Paso Robles' west side, about eight miles from the ocean.
