Klinker Brick is a Lodi winery founded in 2000 by Steve and Lori Felten, fifth-generation grape growers whose family has farmed the region since 1890, including old-vine Zinfandel planted in the early 1900s. Brickmason blends 80% Zinfandel with 10% Syrah, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petite Sirah at 14.8% ABV. The winery's name comes from the over-fired, metallic 'clinker' bricks used to build the Felten family homes. This is an everyday Zin-driven red for Lodi's dark-fruit style without committing to a full old-vine Zinfandel.

Red berries and licorice on the nose, moving into dark cherry and a hint of tobacco. Soft, easy tannins carry it through to the finish.

Margherita pizza, pasta bolognese, or anything off the grill with a good char.

The Felten family has farmed in Lodi since 1890 and still tends old-vine Zinfandel blocks planted in the early 1900s. Steve and Lori Felten started Klinker Brick in 2000 after losing their grape contracts with Gallo, turning bulk fruit into their own label.
