Domaine de la Verde farms in Vacqueyras, one of the original Southern Rhône crus, and bottles a small range of cuvées under playful names, Ora among the reds. This blend leans on Grenache, about 55%, with 25% Syrah and a splash of Mourvèdre, aged partly in concrete vats and partly in new oak. Dark berries, cherry compote and warm spice run through the glass, with soft tannins and vanilla on the finish. A generous, food-friendly Rhône red for a Sunday roast or a long dinner with friends.
