Etude built its reputation on Pinot Noir, and Lyric is the winery's Santa Barbara County label. The 2022 pulls fruit from the North Canyon and Fiddlestix vineyards and ages with 25% new French oak. Wine Enthusiast scored it 90 points and named it one of their top 90-point bargains of the year for its cherry-cola charm. Silky, bright, honest Pinot at a price that lets you open it on a Wednesday. With 40 bottles in stock, this is the house pour candidate.

Hickory smoke, cherry pie and floral lift on the nose. Tart blackberry, cranberry, clove and vanilla on the palate with fresh strawberry underneath. Fine tannins, bright balanced acidity, silky texture, smoky finish.

Roast pork shoulder, duck breast with cherry pan sauce, mushroom pizza. The smoky edge loves anything off the grill.

Lyric is made by Etude, the Pinot Noir specialist, from Santa Barbara County fruit. The 2022 blends the North Canyon and Fiddlestix vineyards and was raised in French oak, 25% new.
